PGI Management has won the conceptualization and dynamization project of mountain tourism in the area of Urbión in Soria (Spain)
After carrying out the feasibility study of the alpine ski resort of Picos de Urbión at the beginning of 2017, PGI Management and the Governing Board of the Provincial Council of Soria are again collaborating for the project of conceptualization and dynamization of mountain tourism in the Urbión area.
The project will describe the most relevant aspects of the actions to be developed in the area of Duruelo – Covaleda and in the Santa Inés Snow Point.
For the mountain area of Duruelo de la Sierra and Covaleda, which has a high landscape and environmental value, PGI Management is carrying out a study at conceptual level for tourism exploitation, oriented to mountain activities, including a cross-country ski resort.
Whereas for of the Santa Inés Snow Point, PGI will analyze the scope and location for the expansion of the current ski center.
Throughout the project, PGI Management’s tourism advisors will study the economic and environmental viability of the development proposal in both areas, considering it as an operation both in winter and summer.
The profound knowledge of tourism trends and the experience of the PGI group as an international tourism and mountain resorts operator will help to promote the tourism sector in the area, create innovative products and guarantee a quality service.
